I see
I see
It was a sea
of lies.

It shimmered
and shined sometimes
but then
it died.

But could it die
if it never lived?
And how could it live?
How could it survive?

Every breath it took
it was sure to imbibe
a big ol' mouthful
of that
sea of lies.
